TT from KHTO to KGEN round trip was 8.0 hours.....and N2ER is dirty, from oil....had the R-56 topped 30 hrs. ago or so....is oil spray and a oily mess on the left side normal? or should i have a "clean" airframe? i'm getting sore from cleaning up and polishing after every flight...what gives? have a great summer, taylor Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cnehus Posted July 23, 2011 Report Share Posted July 23, 2011 With only 30 hours since top you should be pritty clean / no or little oil. Check all your hose and fittings on the heads, it's not uncommon to have the push rod tubes or overhead oil system spring a little leak. Do not think it's leaking via exhaust since that side has the collector. How clean is it inside the cowling.....possible leak inside cowling.
