N48748
Gentlemen, S/N 1683 (N48748) is close to flying again following aft-cockpit-forward overhaul + installation of new Al Ball-overhauled Kinner. Am down to the small bits, and have an "easy" question for which I'd like to collect hard data or opinions. The fuel vent line outlet (PN 1201-7 or 1254-7) on my aircraft has a negative scarf (opening faces aft). In checking with others, seems some have no scarf, or a positive scarf. Would think that negative scarf might decrease pressure in the tank, but a positive scarf might overpressure, or risk bug ingestion. Perhaps it makes no difference whether positive, negative, or none... Have been unable to track down drawing of the part, so as mentioned above, would certainly appreciate any input from the field. Thanks for your help! Best Regards, Bob Roth
