Steve Zaat
Does anyone have any info of Falcon Propellers? STC or 337? We are looking to become the new care taker for a fine example, but records need some help… The attached picture is the prop on the bird but no history or installation info is available. I down loaded the TC data and it is a good match for a Sensenich W90HA, but owner has no data. Is the manufacture year the first number in 00-90-78 seen on the prop? Then diameter and pitch? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Steve
cnehus
The falcon prop was never approved for use on the PT22, only the Kinner engine. It will have to be field approved.
Steve Zaat
Problem solved; 1) I located the prior Falcon Propellers design holder and they provided some instructions for continued airworthiness and verification that the “00” above the S/N is manufacture year 2000. 2) As I went through the rigor of a field approval 337 it became apparent that one wasn’t needed for the Falcon prop on the ST-3KR; check out CAR 4a.61. I still intend to document the installation on a 337. Cheers...z
