  3. GOOD MORNING RYAN LOVERS, HAS THERE EVER BEEN A METAL PROP APPROVED FOR A RYAN PT-22 AIRCRAFT ? I RAN A STEARMAN McCAULEY PROP ON MY RYAN BACK IN THE 1960's AND IT DID A GOOD JOB ON THE KINNER . I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT A CURTIS REED PROP WOULD WORK VERY WELL ON THE RYAN. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ? BEST REGARDS, ROBERT L. PHILLIPS P.S. - RYAN PT-22 AIRCRAFT ARE WORTH MORE THAN WHAT THEY ARE SELLING FOR .

  7. I WOULD LIKE TO FIND SOME WHEEL CYLINDER ( BARRELS ) LIKE CAME ON THE RYAN PT-22 WITH THE SHINN WHEELS. IF ANYONE HAS A FEW THEY WOULD LIKE TO SELL, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I WOULD ALSO BE INTERESTED IN THE MASTER CYLINDERS FOR SAME. ROBERT L. PHILLIPS RP66UKF@EMBARQMAIL.COM 336-902-3575 DAYS N47541 N9028W
  8. HELLO, I BOUGHT MY FIRST RYAN WHEN I WAS 18 YEARS OLD AND TRIED FOR TEN YEAR TO PULL IT APART IN THE AIR. I HAD A LOW LEVEL PERMIT FROM THE FAA DOWN TO 800 FEET AND WAS BELOW THAT MOST OF THE TIME. THE RYAN PT-22 ONLY DOES TWO ACRO THINGS WELL AND THEY ARE SPINS AND SNAP ROLLS. I WOULD DIVE TO 140 MPH AND PULL THE STICK BACK HARD AND HOLD IT FOR TWO SNAP ROLLS AND LET IT GO INTO A SPIN. IT RECOVERS WELL FROM A SPIN. YOU JUST NEED A LOT OF ROOM UNDER YOU TO KEEP FROM MEETING THE GROUND. IT IS HARD TO PREFORM A GOOD LOOP WITHOUT IT LOOKING EGG SHAPED. AS FOR THE CUBIN EIGHTS AND OTHERMANEUVERS IT STRAINS THE KINNER BUT IT CAN BE DONE. WHEN IT COMES TO INVERTED FLIGHT, THE STICK IS AGAINST THE FORWARDSTOP AND THE RYAN IS STILL COMING DOWN WITH THE KINNER WINDMILLING. MAYBE THAT IS WHY IT IS PROHIBITED AGAINST INVERTED FLIGHT. I ALSO HAD A RYAN WITH A LYCOMING R-680-13 (300 HP) AND IT DID MUCH BETTER WITH THE EXTRA HORSES BUT WAS ABOUT THE SAME WHEN IT CAME TO INVERTED FLIGHT EVEN WITH THE INVERTED FUEL SYSTEM. IT FLEW ABOUT THE SAME AS THE STOCK RYAN BUT THE EXTRA HORSE POWER MADE IT CLIMB LIKE A HOME SICK ANGEL. I NOW HAVE THE SAME RYAN BACK AGAIN THAT I BOUGHT WHEN I WAS 18 YEARS OLD (N47541) AND THE ONLY MANEUVERS I DO ARE TAKE OFF , SHALLOW TURNS AND LANDING. BEING 70 YEARS OLD SEEMS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY I LOOK AT LIFE NOW. BEST REGARDS TO ALL, ROBERT L. PHILLIPS N47541 N9028W

PHILLIPS N47541 N9028W RP66UKF@EMBARQMAIL.COM 336-902-3575
  10. I need the bracket that attaches the front landing wire to the front wing spar ( w-1058 is the number stamped on the part ). I also need the fairings that fasten around the wires where they enter the wings or at least the left bottom front, the right rear bottom and the right top front. Have a Blessed Day, N47541 & N9028W
  11. THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE IN AVIATION THAT DON'T BELIEVE IN DRAINING FUEL SUMPS TO CHECK FOR WATER. SO, IF YOU USE THE RESERVE SETTING FOR TAKE OFF AND THERE HAPPENS TO BE A LITTLE WATER THERE, YOU WILL NOT LIKELY GET IN THE AIR. THE REST OF THE TALK ON THIS SUBJECT IS VERY TRUE ALSO. ROBERT L. PHILLIPS N47451 & N9028W
