Members and Guests,

Over the past few days, we have added several new features to the message boards, or forums. First of all, we have enabled new registrations. The board system that we are using has implemented security protocols that hopefully will minimize inappropriate posts and spam. Second, we have integrated the payment and subscription process for membership in the club into the message board system. Current members now have the option of purchasing a subscription for a $15 Annual Membership. You will find it on the left menu in My Controls. New members will see this option when registering for the first time. Beginning June 1, 2009, this will be REQUIRED for everyone. In order to log in to the forums, you will need to have a subscription. If you have a paid, active club membership, please contact us and we will create a subscription for you. Please bear with us as we make this transition. Going forward, this should be a much faster, more secure and more efficient process.

In addition, we have activated the following components of the message boards: Blogs, Gallery and Downloads (as you can see at the upper right). Please take advantage of these useful tools. Each member can create a new blog or link to an existing one. Blogs would be great for restoration updates, travel diaries, technical columns, etc. The Gallery is where you can post photos. Create an album, or three, and fill it up. And please help us update our Master Photo File, too. Check the Downloads section for a variety of resources, including back issues of the newsletter, manuals, technical documents, and so on. We welcome your suggestions on what you would like to see there. More importantly, we need your help in making these resources accessible to all club members. As always, we encourage you to continue to use the main forums for your questions and comments. There are some great discussions going on here at this web site. If you are new here, we welcome you and invite you to take a look around. Someone has an answer to one of your questions...and you just may have the answer to someone else's.

We still are in need of help in the following areas: Newsletter Editor, Membership Coordinator and Treasurer. If you are willing to help or have any suggestions please let us know.
