N48748
Gentlemen; I hope to have PT-22 c/n 1683 (41-15654) recovered early next summer. In old classbooks from Hemet and Tucson I've noted photos of PT-22's with the "star and bar" insignia on wings and fuselage, vs. the pre-war star + meatball insignia and striped rudder. I am considering repainting c/n 1683 using this scheme, vs. the usual pre-war scheme. Has anybody any information or input regards this scheme - especially whether wings and empennage were painted silver vs. AN yellow? Thanks, Bob Roth Meacham Airfield, Ft.
