Paul281
I just read the NTSB Preliminary Report regarding the accident involving Ryan N57015 owned by Bob Orr (IRC 584). I am sorry to say the report lists the pilots injuries as serious (Pilots name not mentioned). The aircraft departed with approximately 5 gallons of fuel for a 5 minute flight to relocate to a nearby airport when the engine quit at 200-300' agl. The pilot put the aircraft down on a golf course and in an attempt to avoid people, rolled into a pond and overturned trapping the pilot underwater. Several golfers were able to lift the aircraft high enough to extract the pilot and move him to safety.
